How much comes from cash, TPA, CGHS, and other payers.

Understanding payer mix helps management make decisions — which TPA relationships to invest in, how much of revenue is at risk of delayed settlement, whether the cash proportion is healthy. ZenoHosp shows payer mix as a live dashboard and trend report.

  • Payer breakdown: cash, UPI, TPA-wise, CGHS, ESI, self-pay
  • TPA-wise revenue — which insurers generate most business
  • Cash vs. credit proportion tracked as a risk indicator
  • Trend: is payer mix improving or shifting over time

"For the first time, every department head could see their own P&L in real time. Orthopaedics saw they were generating 30% less revenue per bed than cardiac. That conversation changed how we allocated resources."

Frequently asked questions

How is department revenue calculated in ZenoHosp?

Revenue is attributed to the department that generated each billing event. OPD consultation revenue goes to the consulting department, procedure charges go to the performing department. Pharmacy and lab revenue are tracked separately.

Can doctor revenue be used for incentive calculation?

Yes. Doctor revenue data from the Finance module feeds directly into the People module's incentive calculation. Monthly payouts are calculated automatically from actual revenue — no manual spreadsheets.

How real-time is the revenue dashboard?

Revenue data is updated as billing events happen. There is no overnight refresh. The dashboard shows revenue up to the last completed transaction.
