Onboard and manage the non-clinical employees of the hospital.


Staff Directory

While the 'Doctors' tab specifically tracks clinical staff and their schedules, the HR module handles everyone else: nurses, receptionists, lab technicians, pharmacists, and billing administrators.

Onboarding a New Employee

  1. Click + New Staff Member.
  2. Enter their personal details and contact information.
  3. Assign them an Employee ID (used for biometric attendance integration if enabled).
  4. Define their System Role.

The Permissions Matrix

The role you assign an employee directly dictates what they can see and do in the HMS. The system operates on a Principle of Least Privilege.

  • Pharmacist: Can view the Pharmacy module, process pharmacy bills, and manage drug inventory. Cannot see clinical notes or OPD/IPD dashboards.
  • Lab Technician: Can view pending lab orders, enter test results, and print reports. Cannot generate bills.
  • Nurse: Can view IPD bed allocations, add nursing notes to patient EMRs, and record vitals.

Administrators can customize these permissions by going to Settings > Roles & Permissions to toggle specific read/write access for custom roles.
