Bank Accounts & Cash Drawers

Manage the digital representation of all physical and digital funds.

Types of Accounts

ZenoFinance treats both physical cash boxes and actual bank accounts as "Accounts" to ensure double-entry bookkeeping accuracy.

  • Cash Accounts: Represents physical money. Every time a receptionist accepts cash for an OPD visit, the "Billing Cash" account balance increases.
  • Bank Accounts: Represents your corporate current accounts (e.g., HDFC, ICICI). Online payments (UPI, Credit Card, NEFT) route directly to these accounts.

Money IN / Money OUT (Reconciliation)

To maintain financial integrity, you must regularly reconcile physical cash with the system.

For example, when the cashier deposits 1,00,000 INR from the physical "Billing Cash" drawer into the hospital's HDFC bank account, an administrator must log a Transfer in the system to move the balance from the Cash Account to the Bank Account.
