Salary Components

Before building a full salary package, you must define the individual building blocks. Components fall into two categories:

  • Earnings: Basic Pay, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), Special Allowance.
  • Deductions: Provident Fund (Employee Contribution), Professional Tax, TDS.

You can set components as fixed amounts, or as formulas (e.g., Basic = 50% of CTC).

Salary Structures

A Salary Structure is a template that groups components together. For example, you might have a "Junior Nurse Structure" and a "Senior Doctor Structure". When you onboard a new employee, you assign them a structure and input their total CTC; the system automatically calculates the exact breakdown based on your defined formulas.

Hourly & Shift-Based Pay

For contract workers or visiting consultants, ZenoHosp supports hourly or shift-based compensation models, bypassing the standard monthly CTC structure.
