Live Board

Real-time tracking of surgical progression, room occupancies, and patient statuses.

Understanding the Board

The Live Board is designed to be displayed on large screens within the sterile corridor or the OT Manager's office. It visualizes the current state of every Operation Theatre in the hospital.

Surgical Phases

Each scheduled case moves through distinct phases on the board, updated in real-time by the nursing staff inside the theatre:

  • Pre-Op: Patient is in the holding area, undergoing anesthesia prep.
  • Intra-Op: The surgery is actively underway ("Knife to Skin"). Depending on your hardware integrations, real-time vitals can sometimes be mirrored here.
  • Post-Op / PACU: The procedure is complete and the patient has been moved to the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit for recovery.
  • Cleaning: The theatre is currently undergoing sterilization and turnover for the next scheduled case.

By monitoring the Live Board, support staff can anticipate when to bring the next patient down from the ward without causing hallway bottlenecks.
